Scripting Services for Film, Television, and Streaming

Our Story

We first began back in 2001 providing our first basic As-Broadcast Scripts for The Walt Disney Company.

In 2013, we formally launched Scriptz expanding the scope of scripting services as well as widening our client base to include other major studios, production houses, and independent filmmakers. In 2016,
we expanded further adding scripting for various streaming platforms as well as podcasts.

Certainly a lot has changed over the years, but what has remained consistent is our commitment to creating the perfect script for our clients.

Unlike other companies in the business, Scriptz does not provide closed captioning and subtitling services. Although, we work with some great companies that do! Our focus has been, and always will be, on creating the perfect As-Broadcast Script and Dialogue List for our clients.

With a team of in-house editors, located on both the East
and West Coasts of the U.S., Scriptz is ready 24/7 to meet
our clients’ scripting needs. Whether it is a basic script or a
full scale Creative Series package, we’ve got you covered.

Our proprietary Easy As 1-2-3 software makes it simple for
you to design your own script based on your needs with all
of our rates upfront and no hidden costs.

At Scriptz, we not only guarantee accuracy, reliability, and
professionalism, but we promise every client a worry-free
experience.

ABS

An As-Broadcast Script (ABS) is created for a Film or Television production. These are verbatim scripts created to match the final edited version of a production. ABS scripts are often used to meet legal requirements as well as to create subtitles, closed captions, and foreign translations for dubbing. ABS scripts are typically part of finalizing international distribution of projects. ABS scripts are part of the final deliverables to a network or studio and are often used in creating a CCSL (Combined Continuity Spotting List).

Your Scriptz ABS starts at only $8/minute (before enhancements).

Our Dialogue List As-Broadcast Scripts (DLABS) meet all Netflix standards and guidelines; however, these may vary based on client needs. Visit Netflix for general standards and for more information on company guidelines.

Overall, the details between standard broadcast and Netflix scripts are the same. The biggest difference is that Netflix As-Broadcast Dialogue Lists are formatted in Excel, require both in and out timecodes, and have some variations in their naming structure.

Your Scriptz DLABS starts at $9/minute (before enhancements).

Scriptz is happy to provide annotations for pop culture, slang, idioms, colloquialisms and simple foreign dialogue translations.

Examples:

(“Yo” = slang; interjection)

("Hola" = Spanish; English translation: “Hello”)

("cool" = slang; fun or exciting)

(“MLK” = “Martin Luther King, Jr.”, an American Christian minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968)

There are a lot of details that go into a final production: project details, synopsis, dubbing notes and casting to name a few. Our Creative Series Overview Package includes this and much more. Standard packages include: Metadata, Synopsis, Cast/Word Count Report, Narrative Titles/On-Screen Text List, Vocals and Ditties List, Foreign Language List, Dubbing Notes, Script, Series/Project Overview, Dubbing Summary, Adaptation/Translation, Series Synopsis, and Cast (regular and recurring).

Need credits included in your final script? Need project metadata (project details, synopsis, credits, etc.) included or input into a database? We can do both.

Understandably, many clients have preliminary videos available early and would like to get started in other areas that need a script. We are happy to provide both a preliminary script and a final. Should you need to track changes made, a change list will be provided.
